THE WORK OF THE ACTOR

The work of the actor, developed by Aletheia, is not based entirely on the principles and criteria used and dictated by the so-called Contemporary Theatre, deriving from the great schools of Modern Theatre, that placed the emphasis on quality of the use of body and voice, where dancing, singing, plastic movement and often the use of musical instruments are priority elements of the theatrical expression.

The work of the Actor, which we carry out in our Theatre Process, and consequently with the students of the School of Theatre, is essentially a process of inner enrichment, which is based on a specific work of thought, emotions, verbal and body language, images, feelings, that lead the Human-Actor to a level of personal maturity, and psycho-emotional strength of absolute quality, which after becomes the quality of his/her expression in theatrical language.

THEATRICAL where Theatre is the space and the language where such Research creates Experience
Through this process of Theatre Research, the Human-Actor places inside of himself, the Knowledge and the Human Experience and experience of his/her Reality, that sensibility and constant inner dialogue that enables the growth of his/her consciousness as an actor (making him a natural living witness of the human condition), that deepening of the themes of the human being, those visions of the great Masters of Art and Thought, those images of beauty, poetry, drama that Actor has to include in his mental and emotional landscape.
The Human-Actor through this growing of knowledge and inner experience is always more able to express autonomously and thus creatively different aspects of the human dimension that constitute and should constitute the primary content of his/her work of an Actor and every work of Theatre. The Theatre as Art, absolute master of life.
